Nazar Garden
The history of Shiraz has a deep connection with Zandiyeh dynasty. Karim Khan Citadel, Vakil Bathhouse, Vakil Mosque and Vakil Bazaar are among the works built by Karim Khan. Within walking distance from these structures, a mansion, which turned to be his burial place, was built by Karim Khan.
Nazar Garden of Shiraz, which is also known as (Vakil Mausoleum, Government Garden, Kolahfarangi Mansion, Shahzade Garden, Chaharfasl Mansion), is one of the places that will delight the eyes of travelers with its unique architecture.
Where is Nazar Garden?
This garden is located in the city of Shiraz (Fars province), as if in the center of a triangle with Hafiziyah, Shahcheragh and Saadiyeh as its three vertices. Bagh Nazar was built near other buildings of the Zandiyeh period so that we can have a collection of structures related to this period in one area.
What do we see in this Garden?
Having the area of nearly one hectare, This garden with its stunning beauty prompted Karim Khan to receive the foreign countries ambassadors in this place. The most important building of the garden is Pars Museum, which is built with an irregular octagonal shape; this 12-meter tall building houses the tomb of Karim Khan as well. In addition, you can see the pure features of Iranian architecture in all its components. Outside the Museum, water fountains, tall trees and colorful flowers enhance the beauty
Interestingly, there were a number of stone cylinders in the courtyard of the mansion, some of which are even estimated to belong to the Achaemenid era.
