Aghazade historical House in Abarkuh

Abarkouh Aghazadeh house belongs to Seyed Hossein Abargoohi, one of the rich people of Abarkouh, and its area is 820 square meters and it dates back to the Qajar period. It is located in the old part and is very valuable in terms of architecture and construction.

This building has a central courtyard and a mansion built on three sides that can be used in all seasons. The most important part of this building, which attracts the attention of all passers-by and visitors, is its windshield and pergola. The height of the windbreak of Aghazadeh Abarkooh house is 18 meters and its area is 18 square meters and it has 19 air adjustment valves and right next to it is a pergola that has a very beautiful Mogharnas decoration.

As you know, windbreaks were made for cooling and pergolas were used to illuminate the basements and halls. Aghazadeh's house and its windbreak belong to the Qajar period and are located in Abarkooh, Darvazeh neighborhood, Abargoo Square. This work was registered as one of the national monuments of Iran on February 15, 1996 with the registration number 1838. The type of architecture and construction of Aghazadeh's house is in the form of a central courtyard and the mansion is located on three fronts for use in different seasons of the year.

This historical complex has 5 houses with the names of Hosseini Doost, Mousavi, Gabri, Seyed Ali Agha and Aghazadeh. All these houses are located in an alley and today each of them has its own uses and somehow attracts its visitors. This valuable historical complex has been under the auspices of the Fund for the Restoration and recovering of Historical Monuments for a period of 10 years since 2006 and was also restored by Afagh Roshan Abarkooh Company. Of these 5 houses, only Aghazadeh's house can be visited, and the other houses of Mousavi and Hosseini are also used as residences, and the houses of Gabri and Seyed Ali Agha will have the same use in the future. It is interesting to know that the house of Seyyed Ali Agha and the house of Aghazadeh are wall to wall and are connected to each other through Sabat. This fact that homes have access to each other basically indicates the close connection or kinship of the members of the house with each other.
